Health Director and Assistant Camp Director for Youth Camp-Seasonal

Health Director and Assistant Camp Director needed for Camp Cove, an Ocean Community YMCA summer youth day camp located in beautiful Mystic, CT.
This is a great way to utilize your skills, have fun, and positively impact our community. This is a seasonal position (May-August) and is full-time Monday-Friday.
The Health Director is responsible for:
- Responding to incidents involving campers or staff
- Administering the appropriate first aide and/or medication administration
- Maintaining camper and staff health forms
- Communicating with parents/guardians timely when an incident occurs including follow up after an incident.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be well organized and ability to multi-task.
The Assistant Camp Director responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising camp staff and volunteers
- Works with Camp Director to develop curriculum and programming.
- Oversees drop off and pick up daily.
- Assists with developing camp trainings.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree in physical education or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in physical education or recreation.
Additional qualifications for both positions:
- Experience working in a camp setting or similar.
- Possess a warm and friendly personality with the ability to relate to youth of all ages.
- Exhibit maturity and responsibility.
- Be well organized and ability to multi-task.
- Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration- American Red Cross preferred- YMCA will train.
