Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to contribute your expertise to a mission-driven organization? The Ocean Community YMCA is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our financial operations and help strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  This is a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time in the future.

As a key member of our Finance Team, you’ll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to manage accounts payable, assist with payroll, and support month- and year-end closings. This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule—perfect for a seasoned accountant seeking meaningful part-time work.

Key Responsibilities:

       • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations

       • Assist with financial statements, audits, and budget prep

       • Manage full Accounts Payable cycle and support payroll processing

       • Reconcile credit card accounts and financial reports

       • Support special projects and maintain compliance with security protocols

Qualifications:

       • BA/BS in Accounting (CPA or advanced degree preferred)

       • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofits

       • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and accounting systems (Abila/MIP preferred)

       • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

       • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
