Ocean Community YMCA's Naik Family Branch located in beautiful Mystic, CT I is looking for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Assistant Swim Team Coaches to join their team. 

Lifeguards are responsible for providing members with a safe and clean environment in the pool area. Enforce all YMCA rules and life guarding principles and safety protocols. Respond quickly and appropriately to all emergency situations. Must have current Lifeguarding certification.  

Swim Instructors will provide participants with exciting, safe and productive swim classes.  Instructors should have YMCA Swim Instructor certification, WSI and/or experience to teach their appropriate class along with the ability to swim and demonstrate proper technique.

Assistant Swim Team Coaches assist the Head Coach with swim team practices and meets. This position requires experience with competitive swimming.  Coaching, Lifeguarding and CPR/AED/O2 certifications required.

All aquatic staff will maintain a safe and clean environment for our members and participants. All positions require current CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration, preferably American Red Cross or equivalent.

Various shifts are available, year-round availability preferred.

Single membership to the Y is available to all part time employees during employment at no cost.
