The Ocean Community YMCA is proud to be part of the School's Out Program providing before and after school care to kids in the local school systems.

We are currently seeking Site Directors and Teaching Assistants for mornings, Monday-Friday 6:45am-8:45am and afternoons, 3:00pm-6:00pm

Site Director responsibilities:

• Planning, scheduling, and implementing activities and programs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, facilitators, and school personnel.
• Coordinate schedules with school calendar.

  Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a minimum of an Associate's degree in area related to education, child development, human services, or recreation.
• 2 years working with school age children preferred..

Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Site Director with preparing and implementing activities
• Supervising the children during activities and quiet homework time

  Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least 1 year experience working with school age children.

These positions serve as a role model for the children and must be punctual, reliable, and comfortable working with children.

Additional qualifications include current certifications for CPR/AED/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Administration-Red Cross or equivalent.  The YMCA can assist with certification if needed.
