Are you a Passionate Pickleball Instructor?  If yes, then we need YOU!

The Ocean Community YMCA is now seeking Instructors for our new Pickleball Program.  With several new indoor and outdoor courts, we need certified instructors to help grow our program by helping our members learn and master the game.  This is a part-time position with a salary range of $18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

1. Ensure and maintain a high quality of teaching delivery by developing and enhancing course design to ensure a quality education for our members.
2. Instruct pickleball lessons, clinics, and drill sessions on techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve participants’ overall game.  This includes both 1:1 lessons and group clinics for all levels.
3. Ensure that Intro to Pickleball sessions are offered regularly.
4. Lead by example at all times, interacting with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
5. Ensure upkeep of the courts.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED, college coursework preferred.
• Familiarity with the game of Pickleball including a mastery of the game and ability to teach and share the sport with others.
• IPTPA Certified Teaching Professional or PRO Level PPR Certification
• Teaching experience with youth and adults.
• Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
• CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration certification-American Red Cross Preferred
